some things you cannot plan. and I didn't plan this, it is something that kind of just happened. Being a sound-engineer is something I rolled into because being a musician myself, I started working at the Melkweg venue to be close to other musicians during my time at art school. and since one of my credos is: "If I dig it, I will do it". if I dig your band, I'll work with you. and the same goes for photography: I carry my camera with me at all times, so if I see something that I "dig", I can quickly get to it and take a photo. Usually a sound-engineer won't get too many mentions in a review, the focus is usually at the band and sometimes the reviewer might bitch about how bad it was. working with a high-profile band that gets a lot of press coverage I noticed that the reviewers are starting to notice the sound quality as well. below are some translated extracts from Moss live reviews.
